 7th Grade After-school Art Class
 

art class 7th grade After School Art Classes will be held on Wednesday’s this year beginning on September 10th from 12:00-2:00pm.   Parents are responsible for the student’s transportation after the class. The class is free and will be limited to 24 students.  There is an application process and it is not first come first served. Please download an application here or pick-up a paper copy in the main office.  Applications are due no later than 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 4th.   Notification of acceptance will be made on Friday, September 5th.  The class will be taught by Stephania Crowder, a retired art educator and will include: drawing, painting, printmaking, art history and more. Parents may now apply for the 2014/15 Free and Reduced Lunch Program Online.  Please click here to apply.
 
Breakfast: $1.50; Lunch: $3.25

• Returning students who were eligible to receive Free or Reduced-Price meals at the end of school in June 2014, in RUSD, and did not withdraw or  leave this school district, will remain eligible through Friday, October 3, 2014; each of these households will need to reapply before Friday, October 3, 2014 to continue their eligibility.

• Households with students who were eligible during the prior school year, but left, withdrew, or transferred to another
school district during the last year, MUST reapply and wait for approval before they may receive Free or Reduced-Price meals again.

RUSD Parent Handbook The RUSD Parent Handbook provides notification regarding parent and student rights and responsibilities, available programs, and options. In addition, it provides information pertaining to Curriculum and Instruction, Health and Welfare, Records, Special Education, and Student Behavior. This year, this handbook will be available on-line and as a printed copy by request only.

  • New Student Registration

    Parents of new students to FAMMS (students who moved into the attendance area over the summer or approved transfer students) may pick up Registration Packets in the FAMMS Office beginning on August 14th. Thank you.

  • First Day of School 7th Grade

    The official first day of school for 7th grade students is Friday, August 22, 2014 from 7:30 - 10:30 AM. This will be an orientation day for 7th grade students where they will be introduced to FAMMS policies and procedures, meet their teachers and participate in welcome activities. We are looking forward to welcoming our students to middle school!

    The first day of school for 8th grade students is Monday, August 25, 2014 from 7:30 AM - 1:55 PM. We are looking forward to welcoming our students to FAMMS! We hope everyone had a FAMMtastic summer vacation and is ready for the new school year to begin!

    College Colors Day is an annual celebration dedicated to promoting the traditions and spirit that embody the college experience by encouraging fans across America to wear their favorite college or university apparel throughout the day on Friday, August 29th.   • Back to School Night

    Parents, please plan to attend the FAMMS Annual Back-to-School Night on Thursday, September 4, 2014 from 6:00 - 7:30 pm. Parents will attend their student's class schedule and meet their teachers and learn about classroom and school policies and procedures. We are looking forward to seeing you there!

  • Wednesday Planning Days

    Please be aware that beginning with the 2014/15 school year, every WEDNESDAY will be an early release day for students, school dismisses at 12:05 PM. School busses run accordingly on Wednesday's. The early release day allows for teacher/school planning time. Please mark your calendars accordingly and make any necessary transportation or after-school care arrangements.   • School Spirit Days

    Don’t forget that every Wednesday is a Spirit Day at Frank Augustus Miller Middle School. With our focus on exposing ALL students to College and their academic life/plans after High School, we have made Wednesday a day where the students can wear their favorite College Team/University Wear. Every Friday is our school spirit day, please wear our school colors of turquoise and yellow. PLEASE support the Spirit at Frank Augustus Miller!

  • Box Tops for Education

    Frank Augustus Miller Middle School PTSA is collecting Box Tops for Education. This is a great way to earn money for FAMMS, just by collecting General Mills Box Tops. Here are some examples of the various vendors who offer Box Tops. Each 7th period class has a wrapped box to put box tops in. Thank you for your participation and bring in those box tops!

    ELECTRONICS RECYCLED HERE! Turn in your old ink & laser cartridges, cell phones, gaming systems, ipods, GPS devices, DVD’s, PDA’s, Digital Cameras, Laptops, iPads, Tablets and eReaders. Collection box is located in the Library.

  • Aeries Parent Portal Account

    As a parent of an RUSD student you are now able to view information regarding your student’s progress and status, parents will be able to view information from our secure school database using the RUSD Parent Portal. Please keep in mind that the grade information is kept up to date by the classroom teachers and may not be updated on a daily basis. If you have specific questions regarding student progress please contact your child's teacher directly. Please click the link to the right for directions on creating your account.

  • Parent Haiku Accounts

    One of the outstanding features of Haiku is the availability of Parent Accounts. This will allow parents to log in to Haiku LMS and see the information that their student’s teacher is providing, including but not limited to class events, requests, assignments, homework, and student resources.
