Attention FAMMS Parents and Students, Macaw Night 2015 will be on Thursday, August 20, 2015 in the gym from 4:00 - 7:00 PM. Please plan on staggering your start time. Typically the first hour of the event is congested and wait times increase. We have a little over 1000 students and if our families arrive at the same time, then expect to wait. Our staff will do our best to move the lines rapidly. Your patience is much appreciated! This is a time for students to pick up their class schedule, turn-in required school forms, tour the campus, and optionally purchase PE wear, yearbooks and ASB Cards. Students MUST have verified T-dap immunization on file with the school in order to receive a class schedule. Students MUST be accompanied by an adult. Please watch for the FAMMS Parent Handbook in the mail in August with further information on this event as well as the required school forms. A copy of the handbook will also be available for download on our school website in August. We look forward to meeting students and parents at this event. Thank you!
The official first day of school for 7th grade students is Friday, August 21, 2015 from 7:30 - 10:30 AM. This will be an orientation day for 7th grade students where they will be introduced to FAMMS policies and procedures, meet their teachers and participate in welcome activities. We are looking forward to welcoming our students to middle school!
Parents, please plan to attend the FAMMS Annual Back-to-School Night on Thursday, September 3, 2015. The evening will begin with a brief PTSA meeting from 5:15-5:30 PM followed by a Parent Orientation in the gym from 5:30 - 6:00 PM. This will be a time for parents to get acquainted with FAMMS policies and procedures. From 6:00 - 7:30 PM parents will follow their student's class schedule and meet their teachers and learn about classroom policies and procedures. We are looking forward to seeing you there!

RUSD uses Haiku, an online learning management system, that allows parents to stay in communication with teachers regarding classroom assignments and policies. All teachers at FAMMS have a Haiku web-page. Content on pages will vary by teacher or department. In general, parents will have access to: the course syllabus, grading practices, biographical teacher information, contact information, classwork and homework assignments, teacher created notes and handouts that often may be downloaded to view or print, helpful course-related links and class calendars. Please click on the Parents tab above for information on creating a parent Haiku account.
The Aeries Portal allows parents and students to monitor grades, missing assignments, and late work in “real time” from any internet connected device. Aeries should be checked daily to monitor student progress. Please see directions to the left to create an account. Please contact the main office for the verification code required for account creation.
