All RUSD schools have an assigned Student Assistance Program (SAP) Counselor. The SAP Counselors are licensed clinicians who provide a variety of services in our schools including individual and group counseling, socials skills groups, and classroom presentations. Students are referred to the counselors by staff members, parents, and other concerned people. Students may also refer themselves to the counselors. Upon receipt of the referral, the SAP Counselor will connect the parent/guardian to schedule a Family Interview. In some cases, minors over 12 may consent to working with their school’s SAP Counselor. For questions about SAP Counseling at Miller, please call Vanessa Hurtado, SAP Counselor at (951) 789-8181ext. 57113 or Katarina Roy Schanz, SAP Coordinator at (951) 352-1200 x83013.
