Dear Cub Families, We will be giving all of our students the state CAASSP Test in May. Please mark your calendars that Monday May 8, Tuesday May 9, Wednesday May 10, Thursday May 11, Monday May 15, Tuesday May 16th, Wednesday May 17th and Thursday May 18th will be minimum days. Students will be released at 12:35 on those 8 testing days. Shortened days will allow our students to focus on really demonstrating what they have learned this year. Then they can go home and rest/relax before the next day of testing. We will be providing the teachers both professional development and collaboration time to expand their capacity as educators those afternoons. If you have any questions please call our office for further details. -Remember to make sure that your students are early to school on those testing days. Thank you.
This week both our advanced and intermediate bands competed to demonstrate competency as musicians (band). We are so very proud that both achieved a SUPERIOR rating at Arlington High School this week. It is a very challenging event because each band must play a piece of music together they have never seen before with only a 4 minute overview by Mrs. Olson. Our students showed how far they have come this year as musicians. Also thanks to all the parents who came out to watch and support our students in showing their competency.
